Polar air

Polar air brings lower temperatures and wintery weather to Spain. I am finishing the online course about ICTs drinking tea with cinnamon and yes, yes and yes, polar air is here with us!

11th November 1918. This day in history - End of the Great War-

I have seen many people today with a poppy and one of the guys have explained to me the meaning, I am sure I have studied it in British culture but I didn´t remember at all!

November is the time of the year when British people wear a red poppy in memory of those who sacrificed their lives for British people during wars.

The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month marks the signing of the Armistice, on 11th November 1918, to signal the end of World War One.

At 11 am on 11 November 1918 the guns of the Western Front fell silent after more than four years continuous warfare.

What is Remembrance Day?

Remembrance Day is on 11 November.

It is a special day set aside to remember all those men and women who were killed during the two World Wars and other conflicts.

At one time the day was known as Armistice Day and was renamed Remembrance Day after the Second World War. Remembrance Sunday is held on the second Sunday in November, which is usually the Sunday nearest to 11 November. Special services are held at war memorials and churches all over Britain.

Polar´s electric window

Once upon a time there was a girl who finished her work at 6:30 am! am! She went to the parking to take her car (Polar), she got into the car and opened the codriver window and ... surprise!!! the window went down suddenly and she couldn´t open it again so she drove from Vélez to Málaga with the window totally opened, it was freezing!

When she got home she used adhesive tape to "close" the window and a piece of sheet.

It was going to be very expensive to fix that window, maybe the little motor it has and the labor in the garage ...

Her "man" called Dossstor!!! said: Hey you! I will fix it! so they went to buy the spare part and they read blogs and a forum about cars ... they read a lot and shoulders to the wheel!!!

Dossstor took the tools and they could fix it in 2 long afternoons, I will not explain step by step because it was hell, so many screws, cables ... but they have saved so much money!

They have finished this morning because yesterday evening they had not a special screwdriver to tighten all the screws.
