Talks are reportedly underway for the return of several stolen paintings stolen including
The Madonna and
The Scream by
Edvard Munch. Police believe that a thief, who was arrested in Málaga, was involved in the case. David Aleksander Toska, was sentenced in Norway last March to 19 years in prison for the robbery of cash from a Norwegian security company, but is now considered to have also taken part in the theft of the paintings. There are reports that he says he will return the paintings for a reduction in his sentence.
